Indians taken into custody for entering into US illegally, majority of them arrested in the past one month.

A detention center near Seattle, Washington, has taken 68 Indian Nationals into custody for crossing into US illegally.
Around half of them were taken into custody in the past one month as they tried to illegally sneak in the US border. According to Satnam Singh Chahal, the director of US based North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), majority of them belong to Punjab, India.
Their arrest dates vary widely, while majority of them were taken into custody this year and half of them were caught and arrested in the past one month.
When immigrants, who try to sneak in illegally, come out of the government-run detention centres, it takes a lot of time to figure out whether they will be deported or allowed to reside in the country, Chahal said.
During this long wait period, many become frustrated, he further added.
