An Indo-Canadian Sikh man was recently verbally abused and beaten by a group of men who targeted him because of his brown skin and turban, drawing strong condemnation from the Canadian PM Trudeau.

A 29-year-old, an Indo-Canadian Sikh Supninder Singh Khehra, was viciously assaulted by four drunken men in Quebec City, in Canada.

It appears to be a racially-charged attack and the unfortunate incident has even drawn the attention of Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau., who has condemned it as a 'hateful act'.

Khehra, originally hails from Patiala currently resides in Brampton, Toronto.

Khehra who is still recovering, pronounced that he was out with friends in Quebec City after dim and perplexing to accost a cab when a automobile approached and started verbally abusing him in French, and then even beating him.

I was punched in a eye and fell to a ground, where we was kicked repeatedly. It was all since of my race, my colour and a headgear we was wearing,” he said.

Cursing the incident, Canadian PM Trudeau said, that he is “positive that a Canadian society…will come together and contend that this is totally opposite a fabric of this country”.

Investigations by the local police are undergoing. Two men were reportedly arrested by the local police but one was later released, according to reports.
