The recent match between India and Pakistan in the T20 Cricket World Cup was special for several reasons. While Kohli takes the maximum credit and the limelight, his bowing down gesture to the master blaster Sachin also made all the right news, the bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan singing the National Anthem before the match was an icing on the cake. Infact, Virat admitted that he was too much excited to listen the BIG B voice singing the national anthem, which made him highly motivated for delivering his best performance. But who knew that this would land Big B in legal trouble?
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was dragged in a legal case recently for stretching the national anthem by around 30 seconds. A complaint was filed against the superstar at Ashok Nagar Police Station, New Delhi for allegedly singing the National Anthem incorrectly.
Filed by one Ulhas PR, a Delhi-based lawyer, the complaint states that Big B took 1 min 22 seconds to sing the anthem as against the 52 seconds as per the guidelines set by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), thus alleging that he stretched the national anthem in violation of the MHA guidelines.
Earlier, former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly had confirmed that Amitabh hadn't charged anything to sing the National Anthem. There was some controversy around this also with false charges that Big B has taken around Rs. 4 crore to sing the national anthem, Saurabh clarified saying “Not only did Amitabh Bachchan not take a single penny, he even paid for his own flight and hotel bills. You ever imagine someone paying Rs 30 lakhs of his own pocket to perform?”.
While BIG B has been accused of some law which is less known to people, fans had come in support of the actor also on the social media platforms. Thanking everyone for the support, the megastar shared a message on facebook. He posted, “FB 1283 – My most grateful thanks to all for your love and support in the National Anthem matter. Anek anek dhanyavaad .. !!”
BIG B had sung National anthem before the India-Pakistan World Cup T20 match in Kolkata and it seems the actor has unnecessarily being dragged into the matter.
