Two explosions ripped through Brussels Zaventem airport on Tuesday (22nd March, 2016), during the morning rush hour as hundreds of passengers were trying to check. Multiple casualties were also reported from the metro system.
At least 34 people are feared dead, wounding over 150 people and shutting down all public transportation in Brussels. Terror alerts also rose across Europe, in the U.S. and around the world.
"We were fearing terrorist attacks and that has now happened," Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said. The Belgium’s Interior Minister Jan Jambon has announced three days of national mourning.
