An Indian-origin chef Ravi Kapoor's restaurant has been shortlisted fort the most sought-after spot for the 'Bon Apetit Hot 10' contest.

Indians make a name for themselves wherever they go and this has been proven once again. An Indian-origin chef Ravi Kapoor's restaurant, situated in San Francisco, has been shortlisted for the most sought-after spot for the 'Bon Apetit Hot 10' contest that honours the best new restaurants in the US.
Chef Ravi Kapoor co-owns a restaurant called Liholiho Yacht Club, which is one of the six San Francisco restaurants that have been able to mark their way into the monthly US Food and Entertainment Magazine Bon Apetit's annual list of 50 nominees for America's Best New Restaurants. This restaurant was inaugurated in January this year.
Certain features that distinguishes this restaurant from the others include, mouth-watering menu with dishes like tuna poke with nori crackers, beef ribs with kimchi chilli sauce and house-made Spam that is served over rice with furikake and a huge smiling black and white photograph of Kapoor's mom, which adds to the glory of the restaurant.
Kapoor began his cooking journey with San Francisco's Boulevard (along with Chef's Nancy Oakes and Pam Mazzola) and as an executive chef at the duo's prospect. These two restaurants are recognised for their flavour driven American cuisine.
Bon Appetit shall declare the winners on August 18.
