The Government of British Columbia in Canada has conferred the ‘Ministerial Award of Excellence’ to a Canadian NRI.

Applauding his contributions in safeguarding the interests of Punjabis settled in Canada, of British Columbian Prime Minister Christy Clark and  Government  House  leader and Minister of Finance BC, Michael G De Jong, has honoured Canadian NRI Gurdeep Singh Grewal  with “Ministerial Award of Excellence”.

Mr. Grewal who originally hails from the Sangrur district in Punjab,  is an eminent  social activist, and is widely known to have resolved the issues of Punjabi  NRI’s by tan amounting with the authorities of the  British Columbia. He also highlighted the matter of several Indians who were victimized by unauthorised travel agents.

Grewal responded with thanks, also urging the office bearers and activists of local organisations to extend awareness about the consequences of unauthorised immigration.
