Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis have won three Grand Slams in a row and there seems to be no stopping them now.
World no.1 doubles Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis clinched their 13th WTA doubles title, reaching the wonderful unbeatable number of 40 matches. Doubles pair Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis overwhelmed Russian-Czech pair of Vera Dushevina and BarboraKrejcikova 6-3, 6-1 in the finals of the St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy.
The ladies began 2016 by winning in Brisbane and Sydney. Earlier team Sania and Martina beat German Czech 13th seeds Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova in the semi-finals. Recently the pair defeated Czech Republic’s Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka to win the Australian Open crown in Melbourne, making this their 36th consecutive win and third straight Grand Slam victory after winning the Wimbledon and US Open last year.
The win added to the Santina’s victory train as this is their fourth title this year. They started the year with wins in Brisbane and Sydney before completing a hat-trick of Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open.
Both the players give credit to their friendship and relationship off and on the court that helps achieve success.
