The Punjab police have booked 4 US-based NRIs. The case was registered following a complaint lodged by the victim’s relative.

The Punjab police have booked 4 US-based NRIs Vikramjit Singh, his sister Gurpreet Kaur, mother Surinder Kaur and their brother Pawandeep Singh, charging them for allegedly grabbing the property of a German NRI.

The complainant Rajinder Singh had filed a complaint in 2015 on behalf of his late paternal uncle Sucha Singh who was settled in Germany with his wife and two children. Sucha Singh had six acres land in the Chawinda Devi village, Kathunangal in Punjab that he alleged the accused had grabbed but he expired in 2011.

In the complaint, he stated to the police that his paternal uncle, Sucha Singh, had six acre land in the village. The accused Surinder Kaur grabbed the property after claiming to be the wife of Sucha Singh which was found to be untrue in the police inquiry. The victim Sucha Singh is settled in Germany and is married to Isa Singh. The victim has migrated to Germany in 1977.

The Punjab police said the matter is under investigation, while no arrest had been made thus far.
