An Indian-American has achieved fame online, also earning him the title of the ‘most popular Indian classical musician online’.

Anurag Harsh, an Indian-American has achieved fame online, also earning him the title of the ‘most popular Indian classical musician online’. Only a part-time vocalist, he managed to garner more than a million views for his performance on the social media - Youtube and nearly 70,000 followers on the Twitter.

He practices music, only as a passion. “I sing in the car. I drive to and from work, which takes around 40 minutes each way. I have a nice car with an extraordinary music system and I put my tanpura on in there”, said the singer.

Anurag works in Manhattan, New York in the US. His music life has been influenced by his Gurus Pt. Chandrakant Apte and Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, he is also a Sangeet Research Academy national award-winning vocalist with a powerful voice and a wide repertoire. Anurag was born in Srinagar, Kashmir in India. A gifted artist, since the early childhood, Anurag at the age of 4 he reportedly gave his first 45 min live solo concert in Srinagar.

Keeping in mind his popularity on social media sites and his huge fan following, he revealed his plans of performing in India soon.
