Surprising all with their enthralling musical performances, the Chhattisgarh's all-girl musical band Rhythm Queens, which is Central India's first and unique all-girls' band has been invited by the NRI groups of Chhattisgarh to the US states, California and New Jersey to perform in several music concerts.
These girls are aged between 14 and 22, and were hand-picked by the Chhattisgarh Forum of Guitarists through an audition, way back in 2001. This mostly young school girls hailing from the middle-class families, struggled for scope to nurture their talent as their band went defunct soon after its launch due to several hurdles. Having now revived the only all-girls rock band of Raipur, the group of school and college students is surprising all, with their impressive musical performances.
Speaking about the band's x-factor, Shambhu Deep, band’s said, "A few young girls were hand-picked and trained. What's special is that though they were trained just for a few months, they produce music like professionals. Also, people find it very exciting that it is an all-girls band. The compositions are novel and beautiful and will soon be uploaded online". The desire to do something new, has kept them moving, as these girls jam daily for almost 3-4 hours and have been busy practicing for music concerts and this time the band is all set to perform in California, the US.
