Sanchit Kapoor, a 15-year-old Dubai student, has achieved a perfect 2400/2400 score in the coveted Scholastic Aptitude TEST (SAT) exams. The exam was held on November 7, 2015.
Sanchit, who represented UAE at the World Youth Scrabble Championships (WYSC) for four consecutive years, is one among the top 0.5 percent students who passed this year’s SAT exam, which was attended by 1.8 million students across the world.
The SAT score is a qualifying requisite for admissions to various undergraduate degree courses in the US universities. The exam tests the writing, critical reading, and mathematics skills of high school students.
Sanchit wants to study software programming and computer science and engineering at Stanford. He topped his school and the UAE in his Class 10 board examination at the GEMS Modern Academy. He said he knew he had done well in the SAT exams but never expected this score.
