During this festive season in India, which generally runs from the ‘Navratras’ till the new year, including land mark festivals like ‘Diwali’ and ‘Christmas’ celebrations, the megastars, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan are all set to come together with their movies. While, Shah Rukh Khan will return with his super hit on-screen partner Kajol in Dilwale, Salman Khan will be back as the adorable ‘Prem’ in Sooraj Barjatya’s ambitious project Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Dilwale also stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon as the leads and is slated to release on December 18. On the other hand, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo stars Nitin Mukesh, Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, among others and is slated to release earlier on November 12, 2015.
In the movie, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman plays the loving, shying and charming character, much resembling of his early 90’s avatars. The movie is based on the sibling rivalry and Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the role of Salman Khan’s rebellious step-brother. Interestingly, the trailer of both films are scheduled to be released on the same date, November 12, 2015, though as already stated above both movies will have different release dates.
Another interesting movie, which can see its release probably during December, will be Bajirao Mastani, a historical romantic movie produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie narrates the story of a historical real life character - Peshwa Baji Rao I, the Maratha warrior of the Maratha Empire and his second wife Mastani. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Interestingly, teaser of the movie was released, around six months prior to the release of the movie, on 16 July 2015, probably as a promotional strategy for the movie.
One more movie, Tamasha will also be released during the festive times. The movie is a romantic drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The movie narrates the story of character Ved (played by Ranbir Kapoor), who loses his self identity by living in accordance to the social conventions expected of him. So these are the leading upcoming Hindi movies, slated to be released during the last quarter and also the festive times in India.
