Two Indo-Canadian doctor brothers, who run their own independent clinics, have been charged with fraud in Canada

Two Indo-Canadian doctor brothers, who run their own independent clinics, have been charged with fraud in Canada. Dr. Mukesh Jain (Mick) and Dr. Minto Jain has been charged with penalty of $5000 each for submitting fraudulent bills to the Ontario government. It is believed that the doctor duo charged the Ontario government for the medical services, they never provided to their patients. Both the brothers, Dr.Mukesh, 45, a radiologist, and Dr. Minto, 48, a surgeon, run their own MIC Medical imaging Centre at various locations in the Ontario Province.

The Jain brothers wrongly billed the government-run Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) for the chest ultrasounds that were supposedly done at their clinics in Orangeville, Bolton, and Cambridge in Ontario. But these chest ultrasounds were never conducted on the patients who visited their clinics.

Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has handed over the case to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The OPP's Anti-Rackets Branch has taken over the investigations. The Jain brothers will have to appear in court on November 19, 2015.
