According to the Indian carrier Air India's CMD Ashwani Lohani, “the launch fulfills the long awaited demand of Indian IT professionals, making San Francisco Air India’s fourth destination in the US”. This thrice-a-week, non-stop New Delhi-San Francisco flight will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and will cover the entire distance in 16 hours. It will also have convenient early morning departures and arrival times. The Air India will launch the flight, starting December 2.
