Vishal Shah of New Jersey, a 22-year-old Indian origin man, was sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment in New Brunswick by Superior Court Judge Colleen Flynn. He was charged for the provoked slaying in the death of Pradip Kumar Shah, his 53-year old father. This statement was provided by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey.
Vishal Shah fatally shot his father with a 0.25-caliber handgun to death in June 2016 who died in a local hospital and is currently serving his 25-year term of imprisonment in a New Jersey state prison. Reportedly, an investigation led by Detective Amy Noble and Detective David Abromaitis had found him guilty of shooting his father in their New Jersey's Sayreville townhome and then hiding the weapon. Shah had pleaded guilty in March 2018 to one count of aggravated manslaughter.
His terrifying action has been subjected to ‘No Early Release Act’ meaning he would have to serve 85 percent of the sentenced term prior to him being able to be released on parole.
