Ms. Srishti Kaur was recently crowned Miss Teen Universe 2017 at Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. The Indian contestant won after thumping 25 contestants from across the world. Pageant contestants came mostly from Latin America and the Caribbean, though two came from Africa and one from Europe.
Ms. Kaur, a resident of Noida is currently pursuing her education at London School of Fashion. She succeeds Nieveles Gonzalez of Puerto Rico as the Miss Teen Universe. In addition, she also bagged an award for the best national costume. Importantly, her costume featured the Indian national bird - a peacock. Importantly, this is for the first time an Indian has won the title.
