Bollywodd megastar Amitabh Bachchan, spoke to the media on his 74th birthday, and urged the nation's people to stand by its soldiers and show solidarity to those who are sacrificing their lives.

The Mega star, during a media interaction on his 74th birthday, said, "People of this country are very angry by the incidents that have been happening at our borders, it's time to show solidarity…it’s time to show solidarity towards our jawans and armed forces who are sacrificing their lives so that you and me can be safe”.

When asked about his take on Bollywood stars supporting the ban on Pakistani artists, megastar Amitabh Bachchan said that this is not the time to talk about who said what, but it is time to stand united with our armed forces. "This is not the time for who said what, why, where, how. The nation is incensed; we all know that, the people of this country are very angry by the incidences that have been happening at our border", said Amitabh Bachchan.

Also speaking of his future plans, Mr. Bachchan said, "I only wish to continue working and take up challenging roles in future as well”. Importantly, at the age of 74, the superstar is unstoppable with so many brand endorsements and films in his kitty.

Indian PM Modi also greeted Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his 74th birthday. He took to his official Twitter account and wrote a post that read, “Dear SrBachchan (Amitabh Bachchan), wishing you a very happy birthday. Your versatility and humility has many admirers. Praying for your long and healthy life”, tweeted Modi.

Meanwhile, Bollywood is divided on the issue of the indefinite ban on Pakistani artists from working in India by the IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association). On the one hand, a host of Bollywood actors including Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh, Randeep Hooda and Ajay Devgn are supportive of the ban, while on the other hand, actors like Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Mahesh Bhatt have spoken in favour of Pakistani artists working in India.
