A Mathematics teacher with the ability to travel in time, how cool is that? He finds himself randomly travelling through time – (into the past and future) until he learns to value his present.
But perhaps, the viewers already have too many movies with the same plot? What new could this offer? Well, proving the skeptics right, this film doesn’t. And, what would you like to ‘fix’ if you could actually go back in time? Would that mess things up?
The film stars Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra. It has Siddharth Malhotra as Jay Verma, the Mathematics genius and the time traveller, Katrina Kaif as Diya Kapoor, his love interest, and Rajat Kapoor and Sayani Gupta playing the Dad-Mom duo of Ram and Sarika Kapoor. Such a promising cast and yet nothing seemed to stick. The building up of characters was weak and so was the entire storyline. The film was rumoured to feature Aamir Khan and later Hrithik Roshan in the leading male role and Deepika Padukone in the leading female role.
What would have really been impressive is, showing the future in a more futuristic fashion, especially when we are making such progress in science and technology, and some on-screen sizzle between the couple. Perhaps, the viewers must have missed both! Forget baar-baar (again and again), to watch it even a single time is solely at the viewer’s discretion.
