The brave little Six-year-old Indian-origin girl, Sarah Patel bravely tackled axe-wielding robbers, who were trying to rob her dad's electronic store in West Auckland, New Zealand. As, a robber attacked a man who was an employee at her dad's shop, then the little girl pushed the masked robber without showing any element of fear.
Her brave act that was vividly captured on CCTV shows the masked men kicking, punching and threatening employees with an axe and crowbar or iron lever, smashing cabinets and stealing thousands of dollars worth of electronics. Surveillance footage shows Sarah grabbing the attacker's leg during the incident after six armed men stormed the family's electrical shop in Auckland. The CCTV footage also revealed the moment Sarah, fleeing, trips and falls, then grabs the man wielding an axe. When the brave little saw the axe she fled, and later also helped her grandfather out of the room and away from danger.
After the intruders fled they were pursued across West Auckland by police as well as Sarah, her mother and grandfather, who gave chase in their car. They were eventually stopped by police.
Five teenage boys have been charged with aggravated robbery, injuring with intent, and breaching bail. A sixth suspect is still to be found.
Her proud father, Suhail Patel, said his daughter was very brave for standing up to the robber and that she was "always trying to help people". "We've been trying to say to her, 'you're the bravest girl,' that sort of thing," Suhail told. He also informed that his brave daughter has been slightly shaken by the incident, but is recovering well.
