Movie review – Akira

Movie review Akira pardesi news 1473660755

The movie starts with intentions of trying to impart self-defence lessons to girls. But besides that one noble thought, it couldn’t manage a cohesive plot.

Movie Akira was fascinated titled by A R Murugadoss, starring Sonakshi Sinha as action star and director-turned-actor Anurag Kashyap. This has also cast actress Konkona Sen as an honest cop role and Atul Kulkarni as heroine's deaf and dumb father in a special appearance.

Movie is all about an angry character and action packed sequence of Sonakshi. It flashes the girl’s childhood as she sees the atrocity committed on neighbor, which develops spitfire in her and later in life learns to defend herself. a is about Jane schoolgirl in Jodhpur of Rajasthan. She identifies an acid attack criminal. The film is completely with all action sequences in which the heroine takes support from an honest cop who keeps the culprits behind the bars. She walks on the path of law and proceeds with her own rough and ready methods in the fight for justice and happily offers a helping hand to those who need it. Her progressive, school-teacher father, Atul Kulkarni had her enrolled in karate classes instead of dance classes that girls her age frequented. Later in life she learns martial arts and fights tooth and nail against all forces (a regressive society and corrupt administration) that come on the way.

The film certainly has its moments, but absolutely nothing that is beyond her. Anurag as the baddie and Sonakshi’s spirited act redeem the film to some degree. The story is credited to Santha Kumar and slightly based on original Tamil hit movie Mouna Guru.
