The Kerala Tourism has recently won two Gold Gongs at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Awards in recognition of its trend setting marketing initiatives. Kerala Tourism won the awards in the Travel Advertisement Broadcast Media and E-Newsletter categories respectively.
In the Travel Advertisement Broadcast Media category, Visit Kerala television commercial campaign was chosen for the award. While in E-Newsletter category, Kerala Tourism E-Newsletter was chosen.
"Winning two awards at the highly influential PATA awards is a tremendous feat. It reflects the success Kerala Tourism's cutting-edge marketing techniques have had in elevating the state into the top-tier of coveted destinations for the inbound tourism market," Tourism Minister A C Moideen said.
These two Gold Gongs will be presented at the PATA Gold Awards Luncheon and Presentation scheduled to be held on 9 September 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This year's awards attracted 212 entries from 71 organisations and individuals worldwide.
The latest recognition continue a run of success for Kerala Tourism at PATA awards, with the state having been conferred the PATA CEO Challenge 2015 award for the top emerging destination in the world. Earlier in 2015, Kerala Tourism won PATA Gold in the Heritage and Culture category for its Muziris Heritage Project.
Founded in 1951, PATA is a membership association working to promote the responsible development of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. These awards are given by Pacific Asia Travel Association and are sponsored by Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO and are presented every year in recognition of the achievements of 25 separate organisations and individuals.
