Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar well known as the God of Cricket is going to Brazil to watch the Olympics 2016 live and thereby encourage all the Indian athletes who are going to make an active participation in the event. Sachin is reportedly been invited by international Olympic Committee (IOC) president Mr. Thomas Bach along with some other famous personalities around the world.
Tendulkar, who is also an Indian Olympic Association goodwill ambassador, will leave for Rio on August 2 and will also meet the Indian contingent during his trip. His presence is expected to provide the necessary impetus to the performing athletes.
Sachin has even recently visited the government hospital in Mumbai to get a yellow fever vaccination which is mandatory for visiting the Latin American countries such as Brazil.
There were however some speculations to the Brazil visit, as he has recently underwent a knee surgery in London and this probably could impact on his health, but it is clearly visible that Sachin is physically fit and he willingly going to Brazil to attend 2016 Rio Olympics Championship to encourage the Indian athletes. His trip to Rio also comes amid speculation that cricket could be included in the 2024 Games roster.
