Mitigating problems and hardships, faced by the fellow citizens as NRIs on the foreign land, the Telangana government has now come up with new policies to safeguard the rights of these NRIs.
Telangana youths aspiring for jobs in the Gulf countries were being cheated by the travel agents and the NRI policy is intended to put an end to it. The proposed NRI policy aims to protect the Telangana youth from being cheated and harassed by travel agents. The travel agents extract money from these unemployed youth, and make their life miserable and even forcing them to work as bonded labourers.
The Government of Telangana plans to arrange a meeting between NRI association and Gulf country administrative Ministers with the goal to bail out the differences and solve all the employment problems amicably. The state Minister in-charge of NRI affairs KT Rama Rao is entrusted to meet with representatives of NRI associations and organisations working for the welfare of NRIs in the Gulf states.
