The family of a 29-year-old woman (Ramya Krishna Pendurthy), from Hyderabad who died in Australia has alleged that her NRI husband (Narla Mahanth) had abandoned the dead body at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International airport and returned to Australia.
The couples were living in Melbourne in Australia and survived by owning a pizza corner and some other outlets.
Sudden death has given a shock to their parents. Victim’s uncle and brother acquired an emergency visa clearance from the Immigration authorities, to bring Ramya’s body back. The body of victim was abandoned at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, Hyderabad as he flew back to Australia.
Mahanth, who was alleged of not attending wife’s cremation in Hyderabad and he flew back on the next available flight to Australia, taking Ramya’s passport with him, express a suspicion on him.
Even though Mahanth claims that his wife committed suicide by hanging, Ramya's family allege that she was killed. Loss in business or suspected dowry death can be a cause of her death, as no suicide note was found at the scene of death. Victim’s brother have submitted a letter to the Australian police expressing suspicions on Ramya’s death and requested them to immediately initiate a probe.
