Priyanka Chopra dined with the US President Barack Obama, the first Lady Michelle Obama and several Hollywood's biggest names.

Adding to the wonderful stint she has been having in the United States after portraying Alex Parish in Quantico, Priyanka Chopra attended the annual White House Correspondent Dinner (WHCD) on Saturday (1st May), where she dined with the US President Barack Obama and First lady Michelle Obama. Both 33-year-old Chopra and First Lady Michelle Obama glittered in stunning floor-length gowns, Obama wearing Givenchy.

The Indian diva ravished in a Zuhair Murad floor length gown, with adorned, ruffled tiers and a plunging neckline. It was confirmed earlier that she has been invite to the gala however she was not sure if she will be able to attend due to work commitments. The Indian actress, who is ablaze about empowering young girls, says that she plans to work with the First Lady on her girl’s education project.

Priyanka dined with some of Hollywood's biggest names such as Will Smith, his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Kim Kardashian's model sister Kendall Jenner among others.

This was President Obama’s eighth and final White House Correspondents' Dinner, which was organised to raise money for journalism scholarships. The most anticipated of the dinner’s traditions was the comedy routine. The president delivered the initial, joke-filled speech, followed by the keynote roast by a famous comedian. Comedian Larry Wilmore headlined Obama’s last WHCD.

Tickets to the dinner -- which are only available for purchase by White House Correspondent Association (WHCA) members -- cost $300 per person or $3,000 per table. The WHCA is an organization of journalists who cover the White House and the President of the United States.
